WILMINGTON: In his first public statements since he disclosed he had an aggressive form of prostate cancer, former US President Joe Biden told reporters on Friday that he was feeling “optimistic” about the future.
“The outlook is favorable. We’re working on everything, you know. It’s progressing. Biden, 82, declared, “I feel good,” following an event in Delaware that commemorated Monday’s federal holiday of Memorial Day.
Earlier this month, Biden’s office revealed that he has prostate cancer, with a Gleason score of nine, placing him in the most serious category.
After deciding on a course of treatment, the seasoned Democrat told reporters, “the expectation is, we’re going to be able to beat this.”
