KARACHI: Even after more than twenty-four hours, the fire that started at a plant in the Landhi Export Processing Zone in Karachi was unable to be put out.
While attempting to put out the raging fire, at least five firefighters suffered injuries.
The firefighting effort is being carried out by more than 20 firefighters who are on the scene.
According to Rescue 1122 personnel, the fire started at the facility in the Landhi Export Processing Zone early in the morning and quickly spread, engulfing three other surrounding factories because of the combustible material there.
The officials stated that the fire had been classified as a “third degree” fire and that the firefighters were hurt when part of the building fell.
