Israel launched a volley of missiles at Iranian military and nuclear installations on Friday, killing multiple senior officials and inciting an Iranian counteroffensive.
Citing Israeli information that Tehran was nearing the “point of no return” on its nuclear program, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel’s onslaught on its fiercest adversary would continue for “as many days” as necessary.
Later on Friday and Saturday, Iran launched dozens of missiles toward Israel after calling the Israeli airstrike “a declaration of war”.
There are increasing pleas from throughout the world for moderation as concerns mount that the Middle East may be on the verge of a wider confrontation.
