Previously held over two days, Amazon.com’s annual Prime Day sales extravaganza will now take place across four days, from July 8 to July 11, the firm revealed Tuesday.
“We’re extending it to four days because our members have told us they just need more time to shop the deals,” Jamil Ghani, vice president of worldwide prime at Amazon, told Reuters.
According to Rob Garf, senior vice president of strategy and insights at retail marketing consultancy Cordial, Amazon’s growing Prime Day coincides with uncertainty among US consumers and merchants regarding the effects of tariffs on product availability and prices.
