Iran has launched another significant attack on Israel in a dramatic escalation of hostilities, with drone and missile attacks setting off air raid sirens in Tel Aviv and Haifa, two important Israeli cities.
As Tehran continues its campaign of revenge in response to what it refers to as “Zionist crimes,” Iranian state television reported that this is the ninth attack of this kind on Israeli territory in recent weeks.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran says the most recent round of attacks is far from over. The IRGC warned in a statement that “the attacks will continue until morning.” The Iranian military frames the operation as part of its campaign to exact revenge for the deaths of innocent civilians and claims to have undertaken both drone and missile strikes.
