U.S. President Donald Trump called for Iranians to leave Tehran after Israel and Iran launched attacks on each other for the fifth day in a row on Tuesday. He cited Iran’s alleged rejection of an agreement to stop the development of nuclear weapons.
At the Group of Seven summit in Canada, world leaders affirmed Israel’s right to self-defense and demanded a de-escalation of the most severe conflict between the region’s adversaries, stating that Iran must never possess a nuclear weapon.
Trump had suggested a truce for Israel and Iran, according to French President Emmanuel Macron, who was departing the summit one day early because of the Middle East issue.
“A ceasefire and the start of more extensive talks are two specific offers that have been offered.
