Following President Donald Trump’s announcement that any decision regarding possible US engagement would be taken within two weeks, European officials attempted to entice Tehran back to the bargaining table as Israel and Iran’s air war began its second week on Friday.
Last Friday, Israel launched an offensive against Iran, claiming the goal was to stop its longstanding adversary from creating nuclear weapons.
Iran attacked Israel with drones and missiles in retaliation. It claims that its nuclear program is non-combative.
According to the Human Rights Activists News Agency, 639 Iranians have been murdered by Israeli airstrikes. Nuclear scientists and high-ranking military personnel were among those killed.
