The goal, as reported by the news, is to implement the plan in a matter of weeks.
The number of children participating is unknown, but according to the Sunday Times, the government will permit up to 300 youths to go to the UK in order to obtain free medical treatment.
Through an initiative by Project Pure Hope, several Gazan children have previously been sent privately to the UK for medical care; however, the government has not yet evacuated any of them during the conflict through its own program.
The goal is to “evacuate children from Gaza who require urgent medical care,” a government official stated on Sunday, adding that “we are working at pace to do so as quickly as possible.”
