He made these comments during a friendly phone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which the two parties talked about regional and bilateral issues.
The prime minister also praised Secretary Rubio for Washington’s assistance in facilitating the truce between India and Pakistan, describing it as a significant contribution to regional stability, according to an official statement.
With an emphasis on growing trade and economic cooperation, they decided to keep up their close efforts to improve ties between the US and Pakistan.
Speaking on the broader Middle East crisis, Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan’s determination to contribute positively to regional peace.
