KARACHI: Following three days of sporadic moderate to light rain in the city, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted further showers in the port city today (Sunday).
The recent rains, which are a part of the ongoing monsoon weather, have caused seven fatalities and as many injuries in two days, despite the fact that Karachi locals have hailed the much-needed showers after days of intense heat.
According to rescue reports, a roof collapse in Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood claimed the lives of a father and his daughter and injured five others. On the other hand, a roof fall at Manzoor Colony killed a kid and injured a father and his son.
