KARACHI: Women Police Station Liaquatabad has turned over Sinda Ayyari, the Tunisian woman who traveled all the way to Karachi following a romance on social media, married a man from Lyari, and later got divorced, to the Tunisian Embassy.
With the embassy’s help, she was subsequently taken to Islamabad, and plans are currently in place for her return to Tunisia.
According to authorities, the additional inspector general of police ordered the girl to be turned over to embassy representatives. She was subsequently transferred from Karachi to Islamabad with the assistance of the Tunisian Embassy, where they said that preparations are being made for her return to her native country.
