KARACHI: Among other things, education is crucial to a nation’s growth and development and shows its path there. However, the most recent data from the international university ranking agency QS (QS) presents a very dismal picture for Pakistan, according to a Sunday story in The News.
Two federal universities, Quaid-e-Azam University (354) and the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), have managed to place in the top 371 of the list, but no university in Pakistan could place in the top 350 worldwide.
The University of Karachi, the biggest university in the nation, has made it into the top 1,001 universities, but none of the other universities in Sindh have made it into the top 1,500.
