The Foreign Office said Friday that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will begin a two-day state visit to Pakistan on Saturday (tomorrow) in Islamabad.
The FO said in a statement that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited the Iranian president to visit the nation.
“A high-level delegation, comprising Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, senior ministers, and other high-ranking officials, will accompany Dr. Pezeshkian,” the statement continued.
During his visit, Pezeshkian will meet with PM Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari at the delegation level.
As Iran’s president, this is Pezeshkian’s first formal trip to Pakistan.
