Lzzy Hale recently considered which musicians have influenced her work thus far.
She spoke about the musician who she thinks will “save rock ‘n’ roll” as her band, Halestorm, prepares to release their new album, Everest.
She said of Wolfgang Van Halen, “He’s a humble kid, there’s none of that ‘I’m a rock star’s kid’ stuff,” to Classic Rock.
Hale went on, “I’ve encountered a lot of individuals who believe that since their father was well-known, they are superior to everyone else. Wolfie has never been like that.
Recalling the time the frontman of Mammoth led her and the band to his father’s famous home studio, Eddie Van Halen. “All of the tapes were still up there when he led us to 5150.”
