Pakistan is prepared to hold extensive negotiations with India, including talks on the long-running Kashmir dispute, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed on Friday.
Speaking to reporters at Parliament House, Ishaq Dar declared, “Pakistan is ready for comprehensive talks with India,” months after the two nuclear neighbors had their bloodiest conflict in decades.
As New Delhi blamed Islamabad for the Pahalgam attack without providing any proof, it provoked intense warfare between nuclear-armed Pakistan and India in May, the most recent escalation of a decades-old conflict.
Pakistan’s military conducted a massive retaliatory military operation known as “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos” in retaliation to the Indian attack, targeting many Indian military targets in various places.
