KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a new forecast of more showers in the city between August 27 and 30, warning of widespread heavy rainfall across the country during the same period. This was shortly followed by light rain in several parts of Karachi on Friday.
The locations that experienced precipitation included Surjani Town, Board Office, North Karachi, New Karachi, North Nazimabad, and Scheme 33 in Port City.
From August 27, Karachi and other parts of Sindh could be hit by another monsoon system, the PMD said. Additionally, the agency forecasted that between now and August 27, there will be a lot of rain in the country’s upper and central areas. Between August 27 and 29, Sindh and Balochistan are predicted to see rainfall.
