The AI startup Inflection AI is presently led by Mr. Suleyman, who is most recognized for having co-founded DeepMind.
It was one of the most well-known AI companies in the UK when Google acquired it in 2014.
With Mr. Suleyman’s action, Microsoft further solidifies its position as a leader in artificial intelligence (AI), an area where Google seems to be having difficulty.
“Excited” to start his new role, Mr. Suleyman wrote in a post on news, the former Twitter. He also mentioned that he would be bringing other colleagues to Microsoft, including chief scientist and “friend and long time collaborator” Karén Simonyan.
Along with Bing and Edge, he claimed to be “leading all consumer AI products and research” with the Copilot chatbot.
Mr. Suleyman was called a “visionary, product maker, and builder of pioneering teams that go after bold missions” by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
“I am excited for them to contribute their knowledge, talent, and expertise to our consumer AI research and product making,” he stated.
