Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the US State Department, underlined how critical it is that Afghanistan uphold its pledge to stop terrorists from using its land.
“We are determined that Afghanistan will ensure its territory is not used again for terrorism,” said Miller. He emphasized once more how important it is that the Taliban keep its pledges to the international community to combat terrorism.
“It is unequivocal that Afghanistan bears the responsibility to prevent the establishment of safe havens for terrorist organizations,” stated Miller.
He emphasized how crucial it is for Afghanistan to take a strong stand against organizations such as al-Qaeda and ISIS, emphasizing the necessity of denying them refuge inside Afghan borders.
During the press briefing, the US State Department spokesperson declined to answer questions about the principal of Atchison College.
