Due to a monthly fuel adjustment, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) approved an increase in power prices on Wednesday of Rs0.34 per unit.
The regulatory agency states that the new tariff will take effect right away.
All customer categories would be affected by the rise in the electricity tariff, with the exception of KE users and lifeline consumers.
The power regulator stated that the expense will be added to May’s bills.
