KARACHI: According to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) South Asad Raza on Sunday, police detained a “most wanted” terrorist from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in the Lyari neighborhood of Karachi.
Mairaj, also known as Mama, the fighter who was apprehended, was the source of information for BLA commander Jalal.
Terrorist Mairaj spied on an army convoy in 2017 as it was being driven from Turbat, Balochistan, to Gwadar. The militants then assaulted and killed Pakistan Army soldiers.
According to DIG South Raza, following the terrorist’s eavesdropping on a military camp inside a school in Naseerabad, Balochistan, troops were attacked and killed.
The four individuals who were killed by the apprehended extremist were cousins of an intelligence agency official.
