Up to 540 Pakistani students who had been left behind in Bishkek due to violent protests have now entered the nation after a special airplane carrying the third group of students touched down in Lahore late on Sunday night.
The 170 students arriving from Kyrgyzstan were welcomed at the Allama Iqbal International Airport by Information Minister Ataullah Tarar and a large group of students’ relatives.
In a dedicated aircraft, about 130 students arrived in the nation on Saturday night, and another 175 on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters at the airport, Tarar said he consoled the traumatized students.
