Last week, former US senator Bob Menendez’s federal bribery trial got underway. During the trial, jurors were shown images of more than $600,000 in cash and gold bars stashed throughout his disorganized New Jersey house.
The images were captured inside the Garden State Democrat’s Englewood Cliffs home as the Federal Bureau of Investigation was conducting a raid in June 2022.
According to the New York Post, Special Agent Aristotelis Kougemitros gave a testimony last week regarding his leadership of the raid on the veteran Democrat’s house, which he lives with his wife, Nadine Menendez.
While undergoing treatment for breast cancer, Nadine is also charged in this case, but her trial is not scheduled till later this year.
