According to recent court documents made public on Tuesday, the Justice Department authorized the “use of deadly force” to seize private records from the former US president Donald Trump’s home.
In August 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation broke open the former president’s safe at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
Trump, who is 77 years old, was charged with unlawfully keeping private records after vacating the White House in 2021. In 2023, he was charged in the matter.
According to the most recent information, which was published by the New York Post, FBI agents were instructed to obtain and hold “classified information, [National Defense Information], and US Government records.”
