Several Biden family members are present in court this week as Hunter Biden’s gun possession trial is being heard in a Delaware courtroom.
The high-profile trial has revealed details of the anguish Mr. Biden’s drug addiction has caused his family.
And it’s happening while US President Joe Biden, his father, is fighting for reelection in a fierce contest.
“I lost a lot of friends,” Hunter Biden said in the jury pool, exposing the drug crisis.
According to the court, Hunter Biden took a crack “every twenty minutes or so.” Republicans want to arrest his brother and son for crimes.
While some family members appear in the courtroom as possible witnesses, others are there to publicly support Mr. Biden, 54, who is the first child of a serving president to be charged with a crime.
Three felony firearms charges are being brought against Joe Biden’s youngest son for allegedly purchasing a gun while under the influence of drugs.
He entered a not guilty plea.
The Biden family members who appeared in court this week are listed below:
Although President Biden has not attended the Wilmington trial, he did issue a statement endorsing his son and declaring his “boundless love” for him.
But Jill Biden, the first lady, has always been there.
Following the death of his first wife, Hunter Biden’s mother, in a vehicle accident in 1972, Jill Biden wed the president in 1977.
Along with Mr. Biden’s wife, Melissa Cohen Biden, the first lady is frequently placed in the first row behind him.
