The children were taken into custody when Bhim Kohli, a Leicester suburb, was attacked in a park in Braunstone Town.
After suffering a terrible assault on Sunday while out for a stroll with his dog in Franklin Park, Mr. Kohli passed away on Monday night in the hospital.
He died, according to a post-mortem investigation, from a neck injury, pending more testing.
On Tuesday, Leicestershire Police announced that a murder investigation had been opened and that two girls and a boy, ages 12 and 14, as well as a boy, had been taken into custody.
The 14-year-old child is still being held by the police, according to the force, while the other four have been freed with no further action.
On Sunday night, at around 6:30 p.m., an attack took place close to Franklin Park’s Bramble Way entrance.
Mr. Kohli was reportedly dressed in grey tracksuit bottoms and a black pullover.
Mr. Kohli was described as a “very good man, very quiet, very jolly” by his neighbor and buddy, Deep, to News.
“Never had any issues, never heard anything, shouting, or anything like that,” he continued. Indeed, he was a really kind man and a family man.
