Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has said that a protest will take the place of the party’s scheduled Rawalpindi rally on September 28. In an unofficial interview with reporters from Adiala Jail, Khan said that the rally has been denied permission by the courts and government.
He affirmed that the PTI is rescinding its application to the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court.
“There’s no benefit in any kind of negotiations with the establishment,” declared Khan, categorically ruling out any talks with the establishment. He disregarded PTI leader Raoof Hassan’s remarks that implied otherwise, claiming that Hassan was misinformed. Khan restated his position, which he had made apparent during the rally on September 8th: the party will not enter into talks.
He declared, “They show you,” accusing the establishment of operating dishonestly.
