A large crowd of art enthusiasts attended the World Culture Festival’s opening ceremony on Thursday night in Karachi, which was hosted by the Arts Council of Pakistan. There was a riot of color and a variety of charming moving visuals.
A mouthwatering array of performances was on show, starting with the local musicians Farhan Raees Khan (sitar) and Ustad Sabzal (banjo). They performed two songs, a folk tune being the first. A particular flavor was added to the composition by Ustad Sabzal’s remarkable skill and Khan’s joy. The audience loved their shortened rendition of “Laal Meri Pat” that they performed after that.
