Odyssey, a villa owned by Villa Vie Residences, sailed on Thursday afternoon, and News has learned that it is stopping in Scotland for fuel.
There were photos of passengers having fun in one of the ship’s bars.
Among them was Florida native Holly Hennessy, who exclaimed, “Hallelujah! All of us are beyond words, ecstatic, and the celebration is already under way.”
She continued, filming herself on deck, saying, “This is my lovely home-ship-home. And I’m holding out for the horn to sound.
MarineTraffic, a website that provides live tracking, verified that the ship was moving.
According to the website, the Odyssey was “Underway, using engine.”
The ship was supposed to depart Belfast in May, but due to repairs, it was delayed, causing many of the guests to spend an unforeseen amount of time in Northern Ireland.
The US liner left Belfast Harbour on Monday night just after 11 p.m., but soon after, it was informed that it needed to anchor off the coast of Northern Ireland because it still needed to finish some administrative work.
During the wait, the trapped passengers have not been lodging on the ship; instead, they have been lodging in Belfast hotels and short-term rental homes.
