Family testimonies about what transpired at one military base that patrolled the Gaza border have been reported to the news.
On October 7, in the early hours of the day, Hamas terrorists stormed the Nahal Oz base, killing over sixty Israeli troops and taking others captive.
Although the Israeli military has not yet released its formal investigation into what transpired that day, it has previously briefed the families of those slain there, some of whom have shared information with the news.
This is the closest thing we have to an official Israel Military narrative of the events of the day.
We have also spoken with survivors, received notes from the dead, and listened to voice recordings of the onslaught as it happened, all of which have helped us piece together events and paint a picture of the invasion’s intensity and speed.
