Hers is one of 46 unsolved murder cases that European law enforcement is attempting to crack as part of a second round of investigations to identify the identities of missing women.
About 30 years after her death, a British woman was identified, thanks in part to coverage of the appeal last year.
Coordinating the effort is Interpol Secretary-General Jürgen Stock. “We want to identify the deceased women, bring answers to families, and deliver justice to the victims,” Stock stated in a statement on Tuesday.
The smallest information could lead to the truth being revealed, whether it be through recollections, tips, or shared stories.
There are cases in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, and Spain as part of the Operation Identify Me campaign’s second phase.
Interpol has released information on each of them, including photos of potentially identifying objects and facial reconstructions.
It is believed that the majority of the fatalities were in the 15–30 age range.
