Khaled Anam, a senior actor and singer, has sparked controversy by relating Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s photograph to corruption in Pakistan. He claims that the more payments that are accepted, the larger the portrait is exhibited.
Khaled Anam emphasized in a podcast that Pakistan requires a profound moral overhaul. In the same way that infants are immunized against diseases, he equated moral strength to vaccine, arguing that society needs to develop resilience to fend off moral degeneration and corruption.
He bemoaned the fact that Pakistan has never set a strong example by harshly punishing offenders. He said, “We all respect Quaid-e-Azam (money) more than laws and believe in him.”
