Following a contract revision that added Islamabad to the list of purchasers, Raytheon, a top US defense contractor, would supply Pakistan with Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAM).
Raytheon was given a $41.6 million firm-fixed-price modification to an existing contract for the production of the upgraded C8 and D3 AMRAAM variants, the US Department of War announced on September 30 for the US Air Force.
The change raises the contract’s total cumulative face value from $2.4707 billion to $2.5124 billion. According to the announcement, the work will be done in Tucson, Arizona, and should be finished by May 30, 2030.
Foreign military sales to the UK, Poland, Pakistan, Germany, Finland, Australia, Romania, Qatar, Oman, Korea, and Greece are covered by this contract.
