According to information obtained by News, Adam Warby, a senior advisor to the US-based investment powerhouse KKR and the chair of the board of executive search company Heidrick & Struggles, has emerged as the front-runner to replace Rick Haythornthwaite in the position.
On Monday, sources close to the city stated that a confirmation of Mr. Warby’s nomination might be made as early as next month.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Warby had several positions at IBM and Microsoft. He currently serves as the chair of corporate software vendor SoftwareONE, which is situated in Switzerland.
More recently, he served as the CEO of Avanade, a cloud and digital services provider, for ten years.
Its shares have endured a difficult period after experiencing a sharp increase in value during the pandemic, and as of right now, its market capitalization is little over £3 billion.
Over the past year, the stock has dropped by 25%.
