He said in a statement that he had requested the Independent Oversight Mechanism (IOM), the ICC’s watchdog, to look into the matter.

Mr. Khan disputes this and has stated that he would fully cooperate with the investigation.
Following the prosecutor’s request for arrest warrants related to the Gaza War, the ICC has come under heavy criticism.
The IOM had been in contact with the alleged victim, but the president of the ICC’s Assembly of States Parties (ASP), the court’s management oversight and legislative body, disclosed last week that the IOM was not yet in a position to launch an investigation.
The Guardian newspaper claims that the female lawyer who endured unwanted sexual advances from Mr. Khan over a long period of time and in multiple locations had doubts about the IOM’s ability to handle the situation and was not given enough opportunity to have it looked into by an outside agency.
