Wilson had 278 throwing yards and was 20 of 28. He frequently and early brought George Pickens into the game. With four catches for 74 yards, the wide receiver led Pittsburgh.
Late in the game, the Steelers defense contributed.
During a pivotal point in the fourth quarter, Wilson fumbled the ball. To tie the game, the Giants required a score and an extra point.
The Giants failed to account for T.J. Watt, the league’s top defensive player, on third down. They left the edge-rusher on the outside, one on one. He overcame the Giants’ offensive linemen with ease, knocked the ball out of Daniel Jones’ hands, and then got it back.
