An important development is that Ukraine is said to have used British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles to hit Russian sites for the first time during the conflict.
This action comes after U.S. President Joe Biden recently gave Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles to combat Russian forces that are located deep within their borders.
With a range of roughly 155 miles (250 kilometers), the Storm Shadow missile is built to fly at low altitudes to avoid detection. It locks onto targets using an infrared seeker prior to detonation.
The missile’s turbojet engine can propel it to over 600 mph, and its warhead is engineered to pierce objects before detonating.
