Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has accused President Donald Trump and his administration of hiding key details in the release of files linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking in Berlin during the annual World Forum, Clinton urged officials to release all remaining documents without delay. She said the administration is moving too slowly and called for full transparency.
The White House denied the claim. Officials argued that releasing millions of pages has already helped victims more than previous administrations did.
Millions of Epstein Files Released, But Key Pages Still Sealed
Earlier this month, the US Department of Justice made public millions of pages connected to Epstein. However, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche confirmed that about three million pages remain sealed.
He explained that some material includes private medical records, graphic content involving minors, and details that could interfere with ongoing investigations. Because of this, officials decided not to publish those documents.
Clinton has repeated her demand for the complete release of the files. She said the public deserves full access and added that transparency builds trust.
Congressional Testimony and Public Hearing Debate
When asked whether Prince Andrew should testify before a congressional committee, Clinton said anyone asked to appear should do so.
Prince Andrew has denied wrongdoing. His name appears in documents, but that alone does not prove guilt.
Lawmakers also requested testimony from both Hillary and Bill Clinton. At first, they declined to appear. A possible contempt vote followed. That plan was dropped after the couple agreed to testify.
Bill Clinton is scheduled to appear on 27 February. Hillary Clinton will testify one day earlier. If he proceeds, Bill Clinton will become the first former US president to testify before a congressional panel since Gerald Ford did so in 1983.
Clinton has asked for the hearing to be held in public rather than behind closed doors. She said the process must remain fair and equal for everyone.
Clinton Says Attention Is Being Redirected
Hillary Clinton argued that the focus on her and her husband distracts from questions surrounding Trump’s connection to Epstein. She stated that she never met Epstein but acknowledged meeting Ghislaine Maxwell on several occasions.
Bill Clinton admitted he knew Epstein in the past but said he ended contact more than twenty years ago.
No survivor has accused either Clinton of misconduct. Both have denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes at the time.
