Authorities Uncover Widespread Online Abuse Network
The UK’s National Crime Agency has arrested at least eight people after uncovering online communities where members allegedly encouraged men to drug and sexually assault women. Investigators say these networks shared videos of the crimes and promoted coordinated abuse, exposing a disturbing pattern of organized sexual violence.
Officials revealed that the investigation has identified around 270 individuals connected to one online forum and several related websites since October 2025. Law enforcement agencies are continuing to track suspects both inside the UK and abroad.
Investigators Link Crimes to Long Term Partners
According to investigators, many of the reported assaults were carried out by long term partners rather than strangers. Authorities believe some victims suffered abuse for years without knowing they had been drugged.
Officials warned that this type of crime is becoming more organized through online communities that encourage offenders to share illegal material and harmful advice.
So far, investigators have launched 14 criminal investigations, identified eight victims, and ensured they received support from specialist services.
International Cooperation Expands Investigation
The investigation has grown beyond the UK after evidence was shared with law enforcement agencies in several countries.
Officials say international cooperation will continue as investigators work to dismantle these criminal networks.
Prosecutors Describe Crimes as Deep Betrayal
Senior prosecutors described the offences as among the most disturbing cases they have handled. They said many victims were attacked inside their own homes by people they trusted, making the emotional and psychological impact even greater.
Police Urge Victims to Seek Help
Police encouraged anyone who believes something may have happened to them to contact authorities or specialist support organizations. Officials emphasized that victims do not need complete memories or physical evidence before asking for help.
Authorities also confirmed that efforts to identify more victims and prosecute those involved remain ongoing.
