RAWALPINDI: In the new Toshakhana case, commonly referred to as the jewelry set case, Imran Khan, the founder and chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were indicted by a special court in Islamabad on Thursday.
Khan and Bushra were charged by Special Court Central-I Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand, who oversaw the hearing at the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was the first to file the case. But in September of this year, the Federal Investigation Agency took over the case and filed its challan in light of the NAB Amendments.
In this case, the couple has been granted bond. However, her husband is still incarcerated due to additional charges brought against him, while the former first lady is still out of jail.
