At the Council Hall of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) headquarters here on Thursday, Karachi Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad presided over a general meeting of the KMC City Council, according to The News.
The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the City Council demonstrated during the council meeting, chanting anti-Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab chants.
Political party leaders accused Wahab of directing cash only to his selected union organizations. Meanwhile, reporters were abused in the media gallery.
During the meeting, a majority vote passed 21 resolutions. One of the primary resolutions praised Karamullah Waqasi, Imam Bakhsh Brohi, Babar Magsi, and Muhammad Waqar for winning the by-elections for different union committees in different towns.
