Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Chairman Barrister Gohar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur acknowledged meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Asim Munir, bringing unexpected new developments to the political scene.
While the PTI chairman stated that they presented their requests to Gen. Munir, who apparently accepted them, CM Gandapur revealed in a television interview that he and Barrister Gohar had met with the army leader.
After visiting PTI Founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar told reporters that the army chief had listened favorably to the PTI’s demands. He said that if any discussions have begun, it is encouraging. “The founding chairman has welcomed this meeting, and we hope for improved circumstances moving forward,” he said.
