The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) met with the top military leadership during a dialogue process with it, but Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the federal government’s spokesperson for the negotiation committee, disapproved of the meeting, stating that the negotiations cannot be carried out concurrently through multiple channels.
“Looking through little windows and doors is pointless right now. In reference to a recent meeting between PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, the senator stated on Saturday, “If the door that they had been working to open for a year is now open, then they should abandon these minor efforts.”
Siddiqui acknowledged knowing the specifics and discussions that took place during the meeting.
