ISLAMABAD: The Prevention of Electronic Crimes (Amendment) Act (Peca), 2025, would be the sole law that would allow journalists to report on weather, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) was told on Tuesday.
The development occurred during the hearing of a petition against the recently passed law submitted by media professionals and the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ).
The hearing was presided over by Justice Inaam Amin Minhas, and the arguments were made by attorney Imran Shafique and President Riyasat Ali Azad of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA).
