After being hurt in a Russian shelling attack, a Ukrainian soldier who almost died has traveled to Kent for medical care.
Since Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine over three years ago, Dmytro is among the first Ukrainian soldiers to receive NHS care in England.
The Ukrainian military permitted him to travel to the UK in January after receiving a letter from Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust detailing the care he would get under the NHS.
His wife, Maryna, and his little daughter, Diana, who arrived in the UK as refugees in 2022, currently reside in Kent.
