Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the president of Turkey, has demanded that tensions between India and Pakistan be immediately defused, stating that failure to do so could lead to a more severe crisis.
“Türkiye wants de-escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India as soon as possible, before it evolves into a more serious situation,” Erdoğan emphasized during a press conference held Monday after a cabinet meeting in Ankara, especially in light of the ongoing cross-border fire in the disputed Kashmir region.
Regarding the Middle East, Erdoğan reiterated Turkey’s steadfast backing for the Palestinian cause.
