Owing to the tensions, the British Council has declared that all GCE, IGCSE, IELTS, and University of London tests that were planned for Thursday’s afternoon (PM) session at all Lahore locations will be cancelled.
In order to guarantee the safety and security of every applicant, the Council said in a statement that the decision was reached in consultation with the appropriate examination boards.
The Council urged parents and students to get the most recent information only from official British Council channels, saying, “This decision has been made to prioritise the safety & security of candidates.”
For additional advice, candidates have been encouraged to stay in touch with their schools. The British Council’s Customer Services center has been urged to assist private candidates.
