Since Friday night, the Pakistani military has claimed to have intercepted and destroyed over two dozen Indian drones that had crossed the border.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director-General Lt Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated during a press briefing Thursday morning that advanced “Harop drones,” a loitering munition system created by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), were among the downed Indian aircraft.
During the press briefing, the army’s chief spokesperson also revealed a number of images showing drone debris. Karachi and Lahore are among the places where the drones were detected, suggesting that the penetration was quite deep.
He did, however, reassure the country that the military was constantly on guard and working to eliminate any new threats.
