Washington: US President Donald Trump urged both countries to cease assaulting one another and pursue peace, and he offered to assist Pakistan and India in reducing rising tensions.
Trump said he was ready to step in and help if necessary while addressing reporters in the Oval Office.
Trump remarked, “It’s so terrible” at the White House. “I want to see them work things out because I know both of them well, and I get along with them. I wish they would quit.
“They’ve gone tit-for-tat, so hopefully they can stop now.”
Trump made his remarks as India and Pakistan engaged in a fierce artillery battle along their disputed border, following New Delhi’s lethal missile attacks against its bitter rival.
