KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has published its detailed weather forecast for the 2025 monsoon season, indicating a wide range of circumstances nationwide, from above-normal temperatures in certain areas to possible flooding in others.
In order to prepare for the difficulties of the season, the PMD asked authorities to establish emergency operation centers and make sure that rescue and relief teams are deployed.
The Met Office predicts that rainfall in the country’s center and southern regions will be either normal or slightly above normal. However, the northeastern regions of Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), where heavy rainfall is probable, are predicted to experience a more substantial downpour.
