Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressed concern on Saturday about the death of a fifth-grade student who was allegedly subjected to physical abuse by the principal of a private school in Jamrud and requested a thorough investigation into the issue.
Due to a small matter, the incident happened during the morning assembly. The matter was reported to the police, and an investigation is still underway.
In the meantime, all private schools have received instructions from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private School Regulatory Authority to strictly implement the school’s ban on physical punishment.
If the accusations were found to be accurate, the government will take strong measures against the offender, the CM said, ordering the authority to carry out an unbiased and open investigation and provide a report.
